Bob Kane

Bob Kane , of its true name Robert Kahn, born the October 24th 1915 with New York and deceased the November 3rd 1998 with Los Angeles (natural death) is a draftsman of Comic S. He is above all known to have created the Super-héros Batman.
After its studies he worked with the studio of Jerry Iger and Will Eisner which produced Comic S with the chain then for the studio of responsible animation Fleischer inter alia Popeye and Betty Boop.
Batman
In 1937, it launched out in the comics and managed to be made publish at National Periodical Publications. It met there the scenario writer Bill Finger with whom it created Batman in number 27 of Detective Comics , gone back to May 1939, wanting to reproduce the success of Superman of the previous year. It was the case and quickly Kane adjoingnit with Batman a young partner, Robin. In 1940, Batman had a new homonymous review which accommodated in its first number the Archennemi of Batman, the Super-unpleasant the Joker. To help it to produce many the comic books and the comic strips of Batman, Kane was surrounded by many assistants but always under his only signature. This one is present on the Comic S of Batman until 1964.
After comics
Bob Kane worked then for television, in series of animation. It benefitted from the success of the televised series of Batman of the Sixties to launch out in the Pop art with paintings of Batman. It was consulting on the film Batman of Tim Burton in 1989.
