Bob Holly

Robert William " Bob" Howard (born the January 29th 1963) is a American all-in wrestler , more known under its name of boxing ring Bob " Hardcore" Holly . It is currently with the World Wrestling Entertainment in division Smackdown! .

Career

It was involved with Stan Frazier, Eddie Sullivan, Marcelle Pringle and RIP Tyler and dbéutait in 1987 in the zone of Mobile/Pensacola in World Organization off Wrestling where it held titles of which the WOW Tag TEAM Championship with Ron Starr.

From there it catchait in Memphis and then with the NWA with a modest success before briefly going to the Smoky Mountain Wrestling at the beginning of 1992 when it fought as a " Hollywood" Bob Howard before adpter the name of boxing ring " Superstar" Bob Holly .

World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment

Holly began with the World Wrestling Federation the January 11th 1994. Its first gimmick was that of a pilot NASCAR reconverts as an all-in wrestler, and saw it adopting the name of " Sparky" Thurman Plugg' , a.k.a. STP which was quickly changed into Bob " Spark Plug" Holly when the engine with oil STP was opposed to the WWF for the use of this name.

With the Royal Rumble 1995, Holly and the 1-2-3 Kid beat Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka in the final of a tournament for courroner new WWF Tag TEAM Champions. However, their reign on the title lasted only one day like the following day with WWF Monday Night RAW, Holly and Kid lost the titles against The Smokin' Gunns.

The April 26th 1995 with WWF Action Zone , Holly beat Jeff Jarrett in a match with WWF Intercontinental Championship concerned. However, as the foot of Jarrett was on the cords before the account of three, the Intercontinental title was declared vacant and the reign of Holly was not recognized. Later in the show, Jarrett beat Holly to gain the vacant title.

In February 1998, Holly and Bart Gunn united their force with Jim Cornette like part of the clan of Jeff Jarrett with the National Wrestling Alliance. Holly, famous " Bombastic Bob ", and Gunn, famous " Bodacious Bart" were known collectively like The New Midnight Express. The New Midnight Express beat The Headbangers for NWA World Tag TEAM Championship the March 30th 1998, and held the title until the August 14th of this year, when they were beaten by The Border Patrol.

Later in 1998, Holly took part in the " Brawl For All" WWF, losing with the first tower vis-a-vis its former fellow-member and final winner Bart Gunn.

In 1999, Holly became the first holder of the title Hardcore, thus referring like Hardcore Holly . In part of its news gimmick, it carried out an alliance/rivlaity with The Big Show. It made then team with her cousin with the screen Crash Holly, with which it gained WWF Tag TEAM Championships. In 2000, another " cousine" with the screen Molly Holly was introduced. SmackDown!

Holly suffered from one wound to the nape of the neck later in 2002 in a match against Brock Lesnar. Holly catchait in a rather violent match against Lesnar which will have badly carried a Powerbomb to him. It was absent for thirteen months following an operation.

Holly turned over to the Survivor Series in November 2003 for its revenge. It defied Lesnar for WWE Championship with the Royal Rumble 2004. To prove that it could put at Brock ground, Holly beat Big Show in a street fight with SmackDown! . In Royal Rumble, Holly could not answer the power of Lesnar and was finally beaten.

After that it formed short agreements with Billy Gunn, and later Charlie Haas in the race with the WWE Tag TEAM Championship, which was infructieuse with the two partners. It also failed in a match for the WWE Championship of John " Bradshaw" Layfield in a Hardcore match.

Holly entered in competition solo for the United States Championship of the champion Orlando Jordan. After beatbeing beaten twice by Jordan (by cheating), Holly could gain a victory (but not the title) over Jordan via DQ with WWE Velocity , which was diffused the August 6th 2005. In September 2005, Holly began another short competition with the Métrosexuel Sylvan; this feud stopped when Holly gained a falls count anywhere match at the time of an edition of SmackDown! . Holly was then caught of them with new the arrivnat " SmackDown! " , Mr. Kennedy. This feud stopped the October 9th 2005 with No Mercy, where Mr. Kennedy beat Holly after a Green Bay Plunge. After the match, Sylvan once more brought back and attacked Holly to wound it.

He entered in competition thereafter with Punk CM. Holly afflicted in Punk its first defeat with the ECW, Punk was unconquered during the one year half. After Test replaced Holly in a match against ECW champion Bobby Lashley, Holly affirmed that it would be champion that it faces Test oo Lashley. Holly was one of the superstars of the ECW to take part in the Royal Rumble 2007, and even if it fought well, it was eliminated in the last by The Great Khali. Holly became the suction number one under Lashley and faced it without success.

The April 3rd 2007, Holly faced Snitsky and lost. After the match, Snitsky placed the arm of Holly on the staircases and struck it with a chair, which gave him one (Kayfabe) broken arm. Hardcore Holly had in FIAT an operation on April 16th to withdraw a defective nerve with its elbow, which made it go away 3 to 4 months.
