Bob Hite
Bob Hite (born in the February 26th 1943 with Torrance in California and dead the April 5th 1981) is the cofounder and singer of the group Canned Heat. It is called “the bear” because of its stoutness.
Biography
Large collector of discs of Blues it has tens of thousands of them. He works in a record dealer or he makes the meeting of another impassioned blues: Alan Wilson with which it will found Canned Heat. The albums are connected as well as the services in the great festivals, of which a memorable improvisation with Woodstock in August 1969.In 1970 after the death of Alan Wilson the group lives on his recordings passed, it leaves some albums which will have a limited business success, ruined it will be obliged to separate from its collection of discs.
In 1981 it finds the moral one and proposes with the legendary blues man John Lee Hooker to make a concert.
April 5th, 1981 after a service in Palomino, he dies of an heart attack at 38 years.
