Robert " Bob" Anderson is a runner of Grands Prix motor bike and automobile English born the May 19th 1931 with Hendon (quoted of London) and deceased the August 14th 1967 with Northampton. It took part of 1958 in 1960 at Grands Prix motor bikes and of 1963 in 1967 in 26 GP of Formule 1 in championship of the world and 24 tests out-championship, beginning the July 20th 1963 with the Grand Prix from Great Britain 1963. It registered 8 points in championship of the world.
Biography
After having run several seasons in Grand Prix motor bike, where it finishes on several occasions in the ten first, it launches out in the automobile competition in 1961 in Formule Junior with a Lola at the Price of Snetterton. It is committed the following year by the team Lotus Junior with whom it gains a race over the Autodrome of Montlhéry and finishing second with Monaco.It is registered in Formule 1 in 1963 with its own car, a Lola Mk4 with engine Climax, with the stable DW Racing Enterprises , small team compared with other stables deprived such as the Scuderia Filipinetti or the Rob Walker Racing TEAM . In spite of this obstacle, it brings its Lola to the victory with the Grand Prix of Rome , test out-Championship as of the first year. The following year, always within the same team, it leads a Brabham - Climax, and obtains its best result with the Grand Prix of Austria where it finishes in the 3rd place. As a better private beginner of the season 1964, it is rewarded by the Trophée von Trips (von Trips Trophy Memorial).
In 1967, during tests deprived on the Circuit of Silverstone, its single-seater leaves the track returned slipping by the bad weather conditions and strikes a checkpoint. Suffering seriously with the chest and the neck, he dies at the hospital of Northampton.
