History
The boarding school of the hospitals of Paris was created on February 24th, 1801 (5 ventôse year IX). The first competition for A-grade officials place on February 10th, 1802 (4 ventôse year X) with 64 candidates of which 24 were named. The studies then lasted 4 year and were independent of faculty.
