Blue spruce

The blue spruce , or spruce of the Colorado ( Picea pungens Engelm.), sometimes called wrongly blue fir tree , is a conifer originating in North America, of which there exists several Cultivar S frequently planted in the gardens and the parks. It is indeed a tree with the harmonious port, often perfectly conical, remarkable for its needles bluish, present on the annual growth of its branches.
