Blue Train

Blue Train is a disc of Jazz of John Coltrane, recorded the September 15th 1957 by Rudy Van Gelder, and produced by Alfred Lion, on the label Blue Note. It is one of the most popular albums of John Coltrane, considered as the " véritable" first album solo of John Coltrane, the first which it recorded with musicians that it chooses itself.

The five original pieces were remasterisés on CD in 1990. In 1997 the album The Ultimate Blue Train leaves, adding two alternative catches. In 2003 leaves a version Super Audio CS as well as a version remasterized Rudy Van Gelder on CD. The version of Rudy Van Gelder contains a system anti-copy.

Whereas Giant Steps caused a break, Blue Train remains faithful to the style Hard bop.
