Blue Sky Studios Inc. is a studio of computer animation American which was created by Chris Wedge in 1987 with New York. Blue Sky belongs to the Fox Entertainment Group.

Blue Sky starts by producing short films ( Balloon Guy , Joe' S Appartement ) by using the software house cgi Studio. In 1997, Fox Entertainment Group enters the capital of the company and entrusts to him the special effects of some of its films: Alien Resurrection (1997), Fight Club (1999) and Titan A.E (2000).

Following the failure of Titan A.E. and with the closing of its studios of Phoenix, Twentieth Century Fox Animation double manpower of Blue Sky to accelerate the production of the first feature film of the firm, the Age of ice , left in 2002.
