Presentation

Less famous, and less spectacular than the Creek S located between Marseilles and Blackcurrant, the small splits of the blue Coast , between Marseilles and the Gulf of Fos, is they also creeks limestones, sheltering small ports and pleasant beaches although difficult to reach.

Of Is in West, one finds:

  • Establon , Vesse , Niolon on the commune of the Rove,
  • Méjean , Figuières , Gives again it on the commune of Ensuès-the-Gives again,
  • the Salt springs on the commune of Curry-the-Wheel,
  • the following splits, since the Wheel until the Crown) (common of Martigues) are not regarded as creeks.

Exit of Marseilles (Estaque) until Curry-the-Wheel, no road follows the coast, from which the rocks fall to peak in the sea, hardly leaving the place to the small ports blottis in their creeks. But a railway there was built with the whole beginning of the 20th century, which clings to the rocks of the seaside, and gives to the travellers an exceptional sight on the roads of Marseilles.
