Sporting blowpipe
The sporting Blowpipe , called blowgun in English (and Japanese Fukiya), is a Sport of Tir of Fléchettes on Cible at points. The blowpipe modern is an aluminum tube (of 122 cm max, diameter 1.016 cm) with a mouth, which propels by the breath of gunner 5 small Fléchettes out of steel having a small conical plastic end. The official Cible is a simple A4 sheet printed and fixed on a support out of paperboard, sythetic foam, compressed straw or other. It has 3 circles of radius 3,6 and 9 cm, being worth 7,5 and 3 points starting from the center. The practice of the blowpipe is not only very simple and surprising, but has also beneficial effects on health (pectoral and abdominal muscles, breathing, oxygenation of blood, concentration, antistress) and can be framed as of the 6 years age.
FSBA
The FSBA (France Sport Blowgun Association) is the authority taking care of the sports activities of the blowpipe in France. Since the end of 2004, some impassioned gathered in all the areas of France to promote and organize the new sporting practice of the blowpipe. The purpose of FSBA, officialized in 2005, is national to specify the French payments on the level of the meetings of shootings and the competitions, to make respect the advising, security instructions the sportsmen on the practice and the material, like validating the passage of the levels (1 to 6, then steel, bronzes, money, gold…). On a world level, FSBA is the organization representing France, approved by the International federation of Blowpipe (IFA International Fukiya Association, in Japan) and works narrowly with its counterpart in the United States, ASBA.
