Blow of elbow (hockey)

A blow of elbow ( elbowing in English), with the Hockey is a penalty, called against a player having charged an adversary by using its Coude.

Punishment

In the payment IIHF, the referee can sanction the player by:
  • a minor penalty (2 minutes) (except in the event of wound)
  • a major penalty (5 minutes) more one automatic penalty of méconduite for the match.
  • a penalty of match (25 minutes)
