Blosxom

Blosxom (to pronounce “blossomme”) is a Moteur of blog and a Management system of contents, developed by Rael Dornfest.

It is a Free software distributed according to the terms of a license of the type BSD.

Outline

The design of Blosxom is enough minimalist. Blosxom is distributed in the shape of a single script Perl. All the configuration is carried out by the edition of this script. The tickets of the blog are stored in the form of textual files, containing a title, headings optional (in the event of use of the graft of headings), and of the blank lines followed by the contents itself of the ticket. New designs can be to him added by creating files of skeletons.

Use and functionalities

According to the method of invocation, Blosxom can operate either as a script cgi, or by producing static files HTML. By defect, Blosxom makes it possible to post the recent tickets, to categorize the contents, to recover them according to the date (and to define a permanent bond of it), and to generate flows RSS.

In spite of its simplicity, Blosxom is a very powerful software whose functionalities can be increased by developing grafts.
