Blockheads

Blockheads is a French group of Grindcore.

Short history of the group

Founded in 1992, the group leaves a first demonstration in 1993, Haaashaastaak . In 1995, Blockheads leaves its first album Last Tribes then in 1998, its second LP Watch Out , after having known problems of line-up. The group turns much giving the true measurement of its power on scene (many concerts with Napalm Death, Nasum, Obituary, Entombed, Sick off it all, Carcass, Soulfly, etc).

In 2000, Blockheads signs with Bones Brigade, a label specialized in the extreme music, label which arises their the first two LP under the title From Womb to Genocide . The third LP of Blockheads leaves in 2001 and names Human Parade . Blockeads will take part in many festivals during the years 2002 and 2003, being made known like an important group of grindcore of the European scene.

In 2006, the album Shapes Misery leaves off, at Overcome, which makes of Blockheads the unchallenged leader of the Grindcore French, so much at the technical level than on the level of the violence of the titles and the freshness of the spirit which is not without pointing out the first albums of Napalm Death, Defecation or Extreme Noise Terror.
