Bliesgau

primitive Bliesgau of the Traité of Meerssen of 870 extended between the Saargau and Germany. It drew its name from the Blies, affluent of the the Saar
End of the 10th century, the county of Bliesgau and that of higher Saargau were joined together under the authority of a count Folmar, deceased before 995, Count Palatine of Metz.
