Blessed-Snassen

Close to the border algéro-Morrocan woman, with a few tens of kilometers of the Mediterranean coast , begins a mountainous alignment directed SE-NW which starts with the solid mass of the Has Iznessen (Riffian tribe) in Moroccan territory and is prolonged beyond the Oranie. Iznessen Has form a unit which points out the Algerian Tellian Atlas, weak pleating of the relief skirting the littoral, relatively low (800 meters on average) with for culminating point the Ras Foughal (1535 m). From share and others of the solid mass the plains extend from Triffa in western north and from the Angads in the south east where we find the town of Oujda, capital of Eastern Morocco.

The area is delimited in north by the Mediterranean, in the south by the wadi Isly, in the west by the river of the Moulouya and in the east by the wadi KIS which skirts the border to a score of kilometers.

The plain of Angads, rich person by his production of cereals and starchy foods during the rainy years, is composed of plates (in the west) whose relative aridity limits the culture to the barley, the pastures and some amandiers.
On the other hand, the plain of Triffa before country of the solid mass towards the Mediterranean, is very fertile. It is characterized by a varied production of citrus fruits, grapes and vegetables. The construction of dam of Mechra Hammadi on the Moulouya as well as the channel of Triffa which crosses the plain launched the high mechanization of its cultures in all the area of Rif Eastern.

A collective of Rap, composed inter alia Abd Al Malik and of Wallen, took the name of Blessed-Snassen in reference to the tribal unit of this area and their knighthood: " The artistic diversity of its members points out that of the groups constituting the tribal confederation of Béni Snassen, in the Eastern Morrocan; indeed, this mountainous territory accommodates centuries of the quite distinct tribes since asserting however their unit, not hesitating to always express their dissension their resistance with respect, honor and bravery what besides was worth with a French tank to bear the name of Blessed Snassen lasting the second war mondiale."
