Analyzes
Andre Franquin and Yvan Delporte creates the Black thoughts in 1977 for the supplement of the Journal of Spirou, the illustrated Trombone . After the disappearance of this supplement (which will have lasted thirty numbers starting from the March 17th 1977), this continuous series in the magazine Icy Fluide until May 1983. Franquin created this series whereas it was in period of depression. It joins again there with a purer graphics, avoiding any ornament (use of the black and white), privileging the silhouettes and the shades increasingly blacker. These gags, often cruel and sadistic, fustigating the human silly thing, will be a great success.
Jean Wrapped, Yvan Delporte, Marcel Gotlieb alias Gotlib, Luce Degotte, and some others sometimes intervened on the scenario of the series.
