Black mountains
The Black Montagnes are a relatively narrow assembly line and of low altitude made up mainly of hard sandstone and Quartzite which is stretched of west in is since the vicinity of Châteaulin to the surroundings of Glomel. The chain separates the depression from Châteaulin and Poher in the north of the Breton southernmost platform in the south.
It culminates with the Roc Toullaëron (326 meters) located on the commune of Spezet.
The other tops bearing a name name the Roch year Aotrou , the Menez year Duke , the Roc' H rear Werc' hez , the Minez Guernazou , the rock of the Madeleine , the cap Saint Joseph , the Minez and the Minez Gligueric .
The fir plantations which are the result of a recent afforestation are numerous on these heights.
The exploitation Breton salte quarry concentrated in the oriental party of the chain in the sectors of Gourin and Motreff.
