Black island
The island Black (78°7 ′ S 166°8 ′ E) is a island of the Archipel of Ross, in the west of the island White. Discovered by the Expédition Discovery and named for the absence of Neige that one observed there. The northern point of the island shelters the principal installation of telecommunications (automatic) of the Station McMurdo, on the island of Ross, not far.
