Black diamond

black Diamant is a group of Rap of origin Bénin oise. The group was created in 1996 under the name Shaolin Clan then Black Diamond (2000) and finally Black Diamant in 2001. Initially composed of 4 MC, Black Diamant are a Duo since the year 2001. Both MC passed their childhood in the town of Cotonou before moving in France for the university periods (2001).

Diamant Noir grates in French language.

The title “Mets you at ease” extracts from the street slap BX POLE 2004 fact popularizes the group. Which then profits from a support via the multi-media group private GOLF which diffuses a clip of the piece.

The 1st Black Diamond album is called “false friends, identical twin”. It leaves at the beginning of September 2005. DNN meets a producer of the name of Koudjo with which it collaborates. Little before the exit of this album, Diamant Noir became the second artist (and first artist hip hop) to fill the International Center of Conferences (CIC) of Cotonou.

In October 2006, Black Diamant is the first group of hip Beninese hop has to be to diffuse on Trace TV.

Cotonou City Crew CCC is the label created in 2003 by Black the Diamant group. It is an independent label.

The realization of its second opus entitled “Born to shine” begins in November 2006. In this album, Black Diamant describes its daily newspaper of young foreign ground African.
