Black Milan
The black Milan ( Milvus migrans ) is a raptor of intermediate size of the family of the Accipitridae.
This Milan is a species with the surface of distribution extrèmement vast which includes/understands the moderate and tropical zones of Eurasia, the tropical Africa and part of the Australasia.
Curiously this species is absent from majority of the islands of the archipelago indonésien.
4 subspecies are distinguished:
- Milvus migrans milvus , European black Milan. It is migrating come from Africa during the hot season. He niche in a tree or on a cornice, and excels catching his preys at water surface, after a rapid piqué.
- Milvus migrans lineatus , black Milan Asian him also migrating.
- Milvus migrans govinda , a sedentary subspecies in India and in Pakistan
- Milvus migrans affinis , the Australasian subspecies it so sedentary
