Synopsis

Caen, 1825. An arm-band of XIVe century, engraved and nailed ruby, with wrist and front armlever, is exposed to the front of the shop of arms manufacturer of Andre Maynotte. Same Maynotte is charged to decorate a trunk with trap containing 400.000 francs. During the night, the trunk is open thanks to the articulated arm-band. All the suspicions are likely to go on Maynotte, which puts his wife in safety and is constituted captive. But although the judge believes in his sincerity, he is condemned to twenty years of forced labors…

Such is the departure of an adventure with bounces running on nearly two decades, during which innocent must, to be rehabilitated, to fight against a secret society: famous black Clothes.
