Blépharite
A blépharite is an ignition of the cutaneous coating of the Paupière S. the blépharites often enter within the framework of the dermatological affections. The blépharite is an ignition of the edge of the eyelids. The blépharite can be chronic because of an insufficient hygiene, but it can also assign people having films, an ocular dryness or a fatty skin. This affection can produce irregularities of the eyelids (granulations) in early childhood. The blépharite can be noninfectious or infectious.
Which are the signs and symptoms of the blépharite?
Itchings, feeling of burn, of foreign bodies, croûteux whimpering and remains around the lashes. Sometimes the blépharite is accompanied by a redness of the eye.
How is this affection treated?
Consult a specialist in the ocular care.
One cannot always cure it (blépharite chronic), but one can control it. The key is a strict hygiene of the hands and eyes. Clean the eyelids at the base of the lashes while rubbing gently with a débarbouillette or a moistened compress of tepid water. This action helps to liquefy the fatty secretion of sébacées glands of the eyelids (glands of Meibomius). Cleaning makes it possible to avoid the formation of small tumors ignited (chalazions) in the eyelid and softens and detaches the squames and the remains.
Perhaps your specialist in the ocular care will prescribe you an antibiotic pomade to apply to the base of the lashes, usually with sleeping.
