Blâmont
Blâmont is a common French, located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle and the area Lorraine.
Geography
Blâmont is located at the Eastern end of the department, in the valley of the Vezouze.
It is on the Trunk road 4 which spawning time a tortuous layout among the old houses. Since the month of December 2006, a road with 2x2 ways circumvents Blâmont.
History
The city was the stronghold of the counts of Salm with XII|20 E and XIII|20 E centuries, then lords de Blâmont with Ferry of Blâmont, wire junior by Henri III of Salm. The seigniory was high with the row of county with XV|20 E century. Christine of Denmark, regent of Lorraine, resided at it. The city and its castle were taken at the time of the wars of religion by the Protestants, then destroyed during the Guerre Thirty Year old (1618 - 1648) which devastated the Germanie. The strong castle was dismantled on order of Richelieu.
In the cemetery rest the seven bodies of the crew of a plane of the 550e squadron of the Royal Air Force fallen in Blâmont on July 29th, 1944, during the Second world war.

Blâmont shelters the ruins of a strong Château medieval (11th century), altered with various recoveries until the 19th century. This castle is the subject currently of a consolidation by an association which also ensures of the visits.
Its neo-gothic church of the 19th century shelters a historical organ, builds at the 18th century, transformed with XIX|20 E, and restored in 2000.
