Bjørn Skaare
Bjørn Skaare (born the October 29th 1958 with Oslo in Norway - died the June 21st 1989) is a former player of professional Hockey, evolving/moving at the station of defender, often considered by its compatriots as having been the best Norwegian hockeyor.
Career
Skaare began its career with the Furuset IF before even reaching the 16 years, Skaare showed with very an young age an unquestionable talent. He united with the Färjestads BK in 1976, but returned the following year with Furuset. In 1977, it united with the 67 of Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League . It there côtoya future a star of the National league of hockey, Bobby Smith, and marked 12 times in addition to adding 30 master keys during the season 1977-78, a performance which attracted the recruiters of the LNH. This led the Red Wings de Détroit to on the whole choose it with the 62e position at the time of the Fishing out amateur of the LNH 1978.It was assigned with the Red Wings of Kansas City of the Continental hockey league, where its remarkable play was worth to him to be recalled by Wings. He became thus the first Norwegian to be played in the LNH when he faced the Rockies of Colorado the November 28th 1978. This first match was also its last, because it was wounded by a setting in failure of Barry Beck. It was réassigné with Kansas City, where it obtained 8 goals and 26 points in 37 matches. It chooses to turn over in Norway in February 1979.
Its return with Furuset IF was a dominating factor in the victory of the club of the Championnat of Norway of hockey in 1981. It spent the following season with the Klagenfurter AC, where it was named better player of the league, before returning in Furuset, gaining again the championship in 1983. It remade a short stay in North America in 1984, uniting with the Oilers de Tulsa, but it badly of the country hardly brought back it at his place at the end of a few months.
Bjørn Skaare was killed in the night of the June 21st 1989 in an car accident close to Oslo.
