Bizanos
Bizanos is a common French, located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques and the area Aquitaine.
The inhabitants are called Bizanosiens .
Geography
The grounds of the commune are crossed by the Ousse, affluent of the Gave of Pau, by the brook Merdé, affluent of Ousse, and by the Oussère, other flow of the gave. They are bordered in the south by the gave itself and its affluent, the Lagoin.

History
Village already existing at the time Gallo-Roman, the first references to the name Bizanos go back to the beginning of the 12th century with the family of Raymond de Bisanos.
Until the middle of the 18th century it is a market-gardening and agricultural village less cash than 450 inhabitants.
After the French revolution, the construction of the road connecting Pau to Nay contributes to the demographic and economic development of the city.
