Bisounours

Bisounours ( The Care Bears ) are a line of Jouet S in American Peluche popular during the Années 1980. More than 40 million these bears, made with a whole color range, between 1983 and 1987 were sold. A name, a symbol and an employment were attached to each bear. For example, Grosdodo helps of people to sleep and has a crescent of the Moon on its stomach.

The toys started like characters of greetings cards in 1981. Later, some toys not-bear, the Cousins of Bisounours, were introduced.

The line of toys gave place to three Film S with the big screen between 1985 and 1987; there is also a Cartoon Télévision which was diffused by DiC and by Nelvana.

Recently, the toys of Bisounours returned in a new edition for the 21e century. In the middle of this return, the bears played themselves in their the first two films on DVD in 2004 and 2005.

Strange facts

The French name of the frankness is a contraction of the two words, kiss and nounours . With the Quebec, however, the bears are called Calinours , in particular because of the vulgar connotation of the word " bizoune" in French inhabitant of Quebec.
