The wilaya of Biskra is localized in Algerian south-east (Chart of Biskra) and extends on a surface from meadows from 21 67.20 km2. It is delimited in north by the wilaya of Batna, in the North-West by the wilaya of khenchla, in south-west by the wilaya of Djelfa, in south-east by the wilaya of el wadi and in the south by the wilaya of ouargla.

The wilaya of Biskra is resulting from the administrative cutting of 1974 and currently includes/understands 12 will dairas and 33 communes. its population is estimated according to the last census of 2006 has more than 758401 inhabitants.
