Birth rate

The birth rate is a statistical data which gives the number of Naissance S alive by Habitant (average population of the year).

It is used for the statistical studies of a population, in Géographie in particular. It easily does not make it possible to carry out comparisons in space and time, because it is affected by the Life expectancy, which varies much.

Calculation

This rate TN is usually expressed in (for thousand) and is calculated in the following way:
TN = \ frac {N} {p}. {1000}
Where N the number of birth per annum and p total population.
