Biroussans

Folk group of the Biros, at the origin based with Sentein, but which now is on St Bosoms.

Created in 1921, association Groups Folk " Biroussans" perpetuate the dances, the customs and habits of the valley of Biros located above Saint-Bosoms/Ariège in the Couserans.

Its history reports the old pastoral life in mountain, mainly of the XIXe century, accompanied by songs, musics and of dances. Each year, a international Festival makes it possible to gather groups of all horizons and to exchange their knowledge.
