Bir-Kasd-Ali
Bir-Kasd-Ali is a commune of the East of the Algérie and the place chief of the Daïra of the same name, located between Sétif and Bordj-Bou-Arreridj.
At the time, Bir-Kasd-Ali was a small village attached to the commune of Ain-Taghrout. This village drew its name from famous the El Bachir El Ibrahimi at the time of the French colonization, which with the question of a passer by: “from which you come? ”, he answered: “I was in Bir and Kasd Ali” (in French: I was with the well and I go towards Ali)
Surface
Daïra of Bir-Kasd-Ali currently includes/understands three large communes: commune of Bir-Kasd-Ali, commune of Khelil and the commune of Sidi-Embarek with an entire surface of 422 km ² including 64 km ² for this under prefecture. 70% of the grounds are arable lands. The corn and the oats are the principal productions of cereals.
Population
The whole of Daïra includes/understands approximately 50.000 inhabitants including 13.700 inhabitants for this commune. A very young population from 20 to 40 years which accounts for 70%.
Employment
Nearly 20% of the population of this sub-prefecture is with unemployment: it is the result of a paralysis of the local economy and the increased lack partners external for the revival of the whole of the branches of industry.
