Biou
The biou is enormous a Grappe of heavy Raisin between 80 and 100 kg. It is manufactured for a quite particular circumstance: the festival of Biou with Alpine laburnum, in the the Jura French. She is traditionally celebrated first Sunday of September. The vine growers of the neighborhoods select the first more beautiful bunches of their vines and they assemble them to train a giantess of it.
Once this one finished, the day of the Holy Just, owner of Alpine laburnum, a ceremony is held in the streets of the city then to the church. After the procession and the blessing of the biou, this one is hung with the vault of the church, in offering with Just saint so that the continuation of harvest is good.
