Bionic Tower

The Bionic Tower (the Tower Bionics) is a project of Gratte-ciel having to see the day with Shanghai in China towards 2015 - 2020.

Gigantism

It will not measure less than 1228 meters height for 300 stages and will shelter 100.000 people. It is well here about a vertical city, the residences, trade and offices being joined together in the tower.

Its cost should be 15 billion dollars and its design is the work of the 3 Spanish Architecte S Eloy Celaya, Maria Rosa Cervera and Javier Pioz. The building will be composed of two parts: the tower in itself, and of the buildings of intermediate sizes with artificial lakes and gardens distributed around on a diameter of one kilometer.

According to its originators, this super structure will be conceived to resist the fires and the seisms. Its solidity will come from the imitation of at the same time solid and flexible assemblies of nature, and the use of new materials.

The building will be composed of dwellings, trade, and all whose inhabitants of this vertical city will need. The dwellings will be divided into 12 distinct columns around a core for safety reasons.

The building will be built on an artificial island, which has the advantage of minimizing the movements of the structure in the event of Séisme or strong winds.
