Bion , Greek poet bucolic, native of Smyrna, contemporary of Théocrite, flowered in Sicily towards 290 before J. - C., and died says one poisoned.

He had as a disciple Moschus. Its poetries are usually joined together with those of Théocrite and Moschus. They were translated into French by Jean-Baptiste Gail, 1795.
