Biomedecine arranges

In France, the Agence of biomedecine is a public corporation related to administration which intervenes in 4 large spheres of activities: the transplantation of Body S, fabrics and cell S, the Procreation, of the Embryology and the Genetic human.

Created within the framework of the revision of the laws of bioethics of August 6th, 2004, it took again since the May 10th 2005 the missions of the French Établissement of the Clerc's Offices . Its Official Authority is the Ministère of Health. It is directed by Carine Camby.

Missions

Within the framework of the Clerc's Offices of body, the Agency must:

to guarantee that the distribution of the Graft S prélevès to follow the medical rules and ethics in force;
to take care of safety throughout the chain;
to make an effort that each patient can receive the graft which it needs.

For this purpose, it manages:

the national list of the patients on standby of Clerc's Office;
the national register of the refusal to the taking away, counting all the people being opposed to the gift of elements of their body after their death.

Organization

The Agency is placed under the authority of a managing director named by decree.

It rests on a territorial organization, the six services of interregional regulation and support (SRA), five university hospitals (CHU) and the Faculty of Nancy:

SRA 7 (Ile-de-France/Center/the Antilles): CHU of Bicêtre (Paris);
SRA 6 (West): CHU of Rennes;
SRA 9 (South): CHU of the Hospital (Marseilles);
SRA 3 (Center Is/the Meeting): Home Lacassagne (Lyon);
SRA 2 (Is): Medical college of Nancy;
SRA 1 (North): Hospital Calmette (Lille).
