Bingxu

The bingxu , or ping-hiu (Chinese traditional and simplified: zh-Hant 丙戌; Pinyin: bǐngxū ) is the twenty-third element of the sexagesimal Cycle Chinese. It is preceded by the Yiyou and is followed by the Dinghai .

With the celestial Tige bing is associated the yáng and the element Feu, and with the terrestrial Branche xu , the yáng, the element Ground, and the sign of the dog. In the symbolic system of the five elements, the bingxu thus corresponds to the “fire which gives rise to the ground. ”
