William " Billy" Wyman Sherwood (born the March 14th 1965 with Las Vegas) is a Musicien, Music producer and mainly known sound engineer étatsunien for its participation in the group Yes .

Billy belongs to a family of musician whose father, Boby was leader of a big band , the mother singer and threshing-machine and the brother, Michael, pianist and singer.

Its career musical begins within a group called Lodgic that it created with his/her brother Michael with Las Vegas. He plays of the low and sings. His/her brother and Guy Allison hold the keyboards, Jimmy Haun the guitar and Gary Starns the battery. The group moves with Los Angeles in 1980, spends several years in studio before recording their first album " Nomadic Sands " in 1986. On this occasion, Billy shows its various talents, not only as musician but also as engineer, mixor and producer of the album.

Lodgic separates then and Billy, with Guy Allison launches a new group named " World Trade " with the guitarist Bruce Gowdy and the beater Mark T. Williams. The group leaves its first album éponyme in 1989.

Little time afterwards, Billy and Bruce are contacted by the group Yes respectively to replace the singer Jon Anderson and the guitarist Trevor Rabin who wished to leave the group. Both rejoingnent the group, record some models, but the project is not born, Anderson and Rabin finally deciding to remain within the formation. Just like Trevor Horn before him, Billy was not at ease with the idea to become the principal singer of Yes . It benefits however from this experiment to seal a durable friendship with Chris Squire which pushes them to work together for the ten following years. Thereafter, Billy turns over near its group World Trade with which it leaves the album " Euphoria " in 1995 where Jay Schellen replaces Williams with the battery. After this album, he works with very many artists, mainly as producer, mixor and sound engineer.

He joined Yes for the round " Talk " (1994 - 1995) as guitarist and pianist aditionnel. He by-product and mixes titles for the albums Keys to Ascension , Keys to Ascension 2 and Open your eyes and starts to work on a new album for World Trade which separates before the recording. He will use this work thereafter for its first album solo " The Big Peace " in 1999 left.

Billy once more joined the group Yes in studio to record the album The Ladder . The round which is followed from there will be recorded for an album live at Las Vegas, birthplace of Billy and left in DVD under the name of House off Yes . At the end of the round, the group publishes an official statement in which it is indicated that Billy does not make any more start from Yes .

In 2003, Billy leaves a new album called " The Unknown " with Chris Squire in a new group called Conspiracy .
