Billy Roberts

William Moses Roberts Jr. (Greenville, South Carolina) 1936, is an American song writer and performer, and musician known to have composed in the years 1960s traditional the Rock " Hey Joe " (the most known version, a hit, is interpreted by The Jimi Hendrix Experience).

Roberts is relatively obscure; it is known that it is established in California and that he is singer Folk, Guitariste and harmonicist who made known himself for shows, representations, concerts given during the mode of the Coast-West in the 1950s and the beginning of the 1960s. It registers " Hey Joe" with the royalties in 1962. Later Roberts recorded off the album Country Thoughts California with the group Grits with San Francisco in 1975 - album produced by Hillel Resner.

He was hospitalized in the years 1990s following a serious Roberts car accident, during several years in told Sonoma in California.
