Billy Idol
Billy Idol , of its true name William Michael Albert Broad , born the November 30th 1955 with Stanmore in the Middlesex in Great Britain, is a Chanteur British New wave . It founded the group Generation X, and played of the guitar within Chelsea, then considered as being punk-rock'n'roll groups.
At the 2 years age, its family unloads in the USA, Long Island - New York to live " there; the dream américain". The family joined the United Kingdom later 4 years. Billy will keep of them a good memory of cars and musics.
He currently lives with Los Angeles in the heights of Hollywood. He has with his catalog, 3 albums of gold, 3 of platinum and a platinum double album.
In 1990 a serious motorbike accident will oblige it to remain with the bed during nearly 6 months. Besides one sees it limping in film Doors of Oliver Stone.
Refusing to arrange its hair (its punk look) it became a kind of rebel for the recording companies.
Its first group was called The Rockettes.
Its nickname of Idol comes to him from one of its teachers who treated it lazy " Idle" (decides like Idol in fact).
It is after the 3rd album of Generation X (its English punk group) and whereas the punk wave is blowing which it decides to leave to the USA to try an adventure solo. Its meeting with Steve Stevens, guitarist, will bring back enormous successes to him.
