Billie Joe Armstrong

Childhood

Billie Joe Armstrong was born on February 17th, 1972. Billie Joe is youngest of a family of 6 children. His/her father, Andy, were a driver of trucks for Safeway and a beater of Jazz part-time while his/her mother, Ollie, were waitress in a restaurant which was called Rod' S Hickory Pit. Billie Joe started to sing at the 5 years age. It was going to sing in hospitals so that the patients feel better. Afterwards, it recorded its first simple disc, Look For Love, by the local recording company, FIAT Records.

His/her father dies five years later, that is to say the September 15th 1982 of a cancer of the esophagus. Besides Billie Joe will report this event much later in its life, that is to say in the song Wake Me up When September Ends drawn from the album of 2004 American Idiot. Before dying, his/her father had offered a counterpart of a Fender guitar to him, legendary Blue (in reference to its color light blue).

As for his/her mother, it due to continue to work at the restaurant (a barbecue held by Richard & Alice Cotton) in order to provide for the needs for his/her children.

Shortly after the death of the Armstrong father, Ollie (the mother) remarie with a man that Billie Joe and its brothers & sisters hated, which led the young person Billie Joe to write his first song: Why C You Want Him?.

At the ten years age, it meets Mike Dirnt (Michael Ryan Pritchard) at the cafeteria of its elementary school.

Musical beginnings

While Billie Joe and Mike slept in the houses of each one, he played of the songs of heavy metal with influences of Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, The Clash and Van Halen. The other influences are Bay Area' S Alternative Music Culture during the years `80. He attended clubs like Mabhuay Gardens & Berkeley' S 924 Gilman Street. He often played there with local groups like Dead Kennedys and Buck Naked.

At 16 years, Billie Joe accompanied by Mike Dirnt and John Kiffmeyer (aka Al Sobrante, beater) form the group Sweet Children. They gave services to Rod' S Hicktory Pit.

The day before its 18 years, on February 16th, 1990, Billie Joe gives up the school (Pinole Valley High School) to concentrate on Sweet Children. It knew what it wanted to do: to play of the music because the school was not used for to him with nothing. At that time, its nickname was 2$ Bill, because it was the price to which it sold joints of Cannabis.

In 1990, Al Sobrante the group for the university gives up. A new beater had to be found. Al was replaced by certain Dave E.C which very quickly left its place to Tré Cool (born Frank Edwin Wright III). Little time later, Sweet Children was renamed Green Day (According to a song of their first album studio like their leaning for the marijuana).

Love life

They were then in round with the father of Tré, Frank, in Book Mobile and people stopped to ask whether they had unspecified book to sell. They played houses of fans. It was in Mineapolis, in 1990, that Billie Joe sees for the first time the eyes of his future wife, a named young woman Adrienne Nesser.

They married on July 2nd, 1994; the ceremony lasted in all and for all 5 minutes because the two tourteraux ones, so distressed by this ceremony, had been saoulés with beer right before the marriage. The shortly after the marriage, Adrienne realized that it was pregnant of Billie Joe. Their first wire, Joseph Marciano Armstrong, are born in March 1995. His/her little brother, Jakob Armstrong Danger, are born in September 1998. Adrienne and Billie Joe founded " Adeline Records" , a recording company which also has a line of clothing (often carried by Billie Joe him even).

The groups of Billie Joe are: Green Day, Pinhead Gunpowder and The Network (although never officially recognized).

The family of Billie Joe lives in Oakland (California). In April 2006, the Armstrong family appears, complete, in Kids' Choice Awards. Besides Mr. Amstrong has his own star on famous Famed Walk Of in Hollywood.
