Bill Nyrop

William " Bill" Nyrop (born the July 23rd 1952 with Washington with and deceased the December 31st 1995 with Mineapolis) was a player of professional Hockey.

Career

It begins hockey in the university championship in division Western Collegiate Hockey Association with the team of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the Université of Notre Dame in 1970. Two seasons later, it is selected at the time of the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey by the Canadian of Montreal at the time of the fifth turn (it is then the 66e choice).

It did not join a continuation the professional league and initially finishes during two years its studies. In 1974, it begins on the skating rinks from the American Ligue from hockey with the Voyageurs from Nova Scotia, Voyageurs affiliated to the Canadians.

It makes its beginnings in the LNH, on February 22nd 1976 and helps the team to gain the Coupe Stanley. That will be the first of the three which it will gain with the team in 1976, 1977 and 1978.

In Cut Canada 1976, it represents the the United States at the time of the Coupe Canada.

It decides thereafter to put a pause at its career in order to follow courses of rights and it returns to the play in 1980 with the North Stars of Minnesota which have its rights then. He then plays a season before leaving the North America and to join the Germany and equips it with Cologne, the Kölner Haie. He plays one season before really taking his retirement of player.

He exerts then as a lawyer and will return in the world of hockey in 1991 per two short seasons as a trainer in minor leagues, ECHL (for the Cherokees of Knoxville) and in the Sunshine Hockey League (Blaze de West-Palm-Beach).

He dies in the town of his father, Mineapolis, of a Cancer of the colon the December 31st 1995 with Mineapolis. He was then 43 years old.
