Bill Jourdan
Character of cartoon, creates by Jean Acquaviva and Loÿs Pétillot in 1957. It is about a western published in Bayard (Editor: the Good Press - currently: Bayard Presses), weekly magazine intended for the young people. This data base is of a great graphic realism, which supports advantageously the comparison with Blueberry for example; what east can be less true on the level of the scenarios, idealized to the extreme but nevertheless captivating.
The series comprises 5 episodes:

- the mission of Vapahana
- the gold of Bonanza city
- the desert of dead the
The first 2 episodes were published in their time in album. The editions of the Triumph (http://www.editionsdutriomphe.fr/) took again this series and to date republished the first 4 episodes. The authors were, with P. Forget and AP Sève, the pillars of the weekly magazine during the period 1955 - 1962 and carried out other bands, either together (Pascal Montfort), or with other scenario writers or draftsmen: Tony Sextant (Acquaviva/Ribera) - the 7 Samurais (Acquaviva/Forget) - Jesus de Nazareth (Sap/Pétillot) - the priest of Ars (Sap/Pétillot), etc
