Biliki editions

Biliki is a Publisher based with Brussels publishing novels, news, tests and books of Article It is a project of the asbl International CM. The Biliki editions were founded and are directed by Patrick Lowie and Hassan Charach.

Philosophy

Created in 2005 by writers eager to publish impassioned and enthralling writings, the Biliki editions want to be in rupture with the way of doing of the large publishers.

The philosophy of this publisher intends to place the author in the center of the project. The manuscripts are read carefully and in the event of refusal their authors receive explanations quickly.

The original system of remuneration of the authors also illustrates this approach: rather than to receive a check one year or two years after the publication of the books, the authors receive each month their share of the sales.

The Biliki editions do not publish in account of author, on the basis of the principle that if a book is worth the sorrow to be published, it will be published: for this house, to make carry whole or part of the cost by the authors is to add obstacles to artistic creation.

The Biliki editions intend to emphasize the work of the translators because they judge that they are too often left in anonymity. They all are thus presented on the Web site of the editions. The translators are also associated with the promotion of the works which they translated.

Collections

Khaki Yellow This collection gathers poetic plays and works. Among those which were published: the Temptation of Milk and Honey of Patrick Lowie, murmurs of the wind of Keita Sore, erotic the (collection of Haïkus) of Micheline Beaudry and Janick Belleau. The collection is directed by the writer and editor Patrick Lowie.

The Frozen In the beginning, The Glacé was an association founded in 1998 by François Harray and having for goal the publication of novels in connection with the gay universe and lesbian. The collection Frozen figure among the pionnières of French-speaking literature LGBT. It was taken again by the Labor editions in 2000 then by the Biliki editions in 2005. The many publications of the collection The Glacé from now on are republished and distributed by the Biliki editions.

blue dOiGtS Created in partnership with artistic association the blue dOiGtS, this collection éponyme is devoted to the innovating or not-conventional uses of the language. It is directed by Keyvan Sayar, author and founder of association the blue dOiGtS. This collection counts already three editions of the Dictionnaire of new the, a dictionary of new words created by the Net surfers.

the writings travellers This collection proposes books of voyage of a new kind: a short novel followed by a guide of the city in which the history proceeded. A different way to approach the voyage. The editor announces that the books of this collection (of which first is to be appeared in 2007) will be all ecological and ethical: printed on paper which can be recycled and realized by/for local associations.

Brussels - Sao Paulo Platform luso-French-speaking person, this collection will propose (as from 2007) writings of contemporary Brazilian authors in French and contemporary French-speaking authors in Portuguese.

www The www collection is dedicated to the new writings resulting from the culture Web such as the blogs, the newsletters and the diaries. The first announced publication of this collection is a work of the graphic designer worst Ben Vautier entitled , it is me .

Biliki sells its books on the bookstore in rezolibre.com line. This platform of sale on line gathers 51 French-speaking independent editors of Belgium, France, Haiti, Quebec and wants to constitute an alternative to the supermarkets of the culture which take prohibitory margins with the small editors and give them little visibility. The sale on line is easy and proposes different type of payment (transfer, credit cards, payment by telephone, etc…).
