Bilichilde or Bilithilde (born towards 654 - died in 673) is a queen of the Francs, wife of Childéric II (650 - 675), king d' Austrasie.
Biography
It is the girl of the king Sigebert III of Austrasie and Hymnéchilde.
Towards 667, she marries her cousin Childéric II. She gives him two wire Chilpéric II of Neustrie (670 - 721) and Dagobert.
She is assassinated, like her husband and her Dagobert son, by a party the dissatisfied ones in 673. The king Childéric II is stabbed at the time of a ambush in Forêt of Lognes by the leude Badillon. After its regicide, this last goes to the royal house where the Bilichide queen and her Dagobert son are. He stabs the pregnant queen several months then keep silent the Dagobert young person.
The two sovereigns were buried in the church of Saint-Germain-of-Meadows. At the time of excavations, a small stone coffin was found near their tombs, probably that of young prince Dagobert.
