History

One found in Bignan of the vestiges of habitats of the Age of iron and in particular of the time acheuléenne.

Bignan was a center very active of Chouannerie starting from 1794 by the action of the lieutenant of Georges Cadoudal, Pierre Guillemot, known as the King de Bignan .
