Big Daddy Kane (born Antonio Hardy , the September 10th 1968) is a Rap fear originating in Brooklyn.
Biography
Antonio Hardy grows in Bed-Stuy, a district of Brooklyn. Its career began in 1984 thanks to certain Biz Markie under the pseudonym Big Daddy Kane, Kane which means “King Asiatic Nobody' S Equal”. He and Kane were very good friends and Biz was very impressed by its talent of rappor and presented it to the producer Marley Marl who directed the group “Juice Crew” whose Kane and Biz Markie will count among its most important members. In 1987, Big Daddy Kane signs a contract at “Cold Chillin”. It recorded its first individual “Raw” which was a true phenomenon in the rap underground. The same year, it leaves Long Live The Kane its first album, its first traditional, which will propel it at the top of the rap in particular with individual “the Ain' T No Half-Steppin”. One year later, its second album It' S.A. Big Daddy Thing obtains an enormous success. On this album, he worked with the producer Teddy Riley on the title “I Get the Job Gives”. In 1990, Its new album has Chocolate Taste Of obtains a very good success with its featurings with Barry White, Camilla Shabazz (the girl of Malcolm X) or Dolemite. One year later, its album Prince off Darkness does not succeed in following the success of the precedents. It was much more of the RnB kind until pure Rap that its fans waited. Big Daddy Kane continued to be present on the scenes of the showbiz by making photographs at half naked for the book of Madonna titrated “Sex” and also for the magazine Play Girl. In 1993, its new album Looks Like has Job For did not have, unfortunately, no success. In 1994, it signs a contract with another label, “MCA Records” and leaves another album entitled “Daddy' S Home”. Big Daddy Kane began a career in the cinema. He played in particular in “Western Poses” or in “Meteor Man”. From 1994 to 1997 it withdrew scene. It is not that in 1998 qu' it reappears with its last album “Veteranz Day” on “Blackheart Records” which passed completely unperceived. A best off entitled The Very Best Of Big Daddy Kane leaves in 2001.Big Daddy Kane remains one of the greatest legends of rep. It played a big role in what is regarded as “the golden age of the rap”.
In 2006, it appears in the documentary musical one of Michel Gondry: Dave Chappelle' S Block Party.
