Bidatsu
The emperor Bidatsu (敏達天皇 Bidatsu Tennō , 538 - 585) was the thirtieth emperor Japan, according to the traditional order of the succession, and reigned of 572 with 585.
Genealogy
Before its advent with the Throne of the chrysanthemum, its personal name (its iminia ) was Wosada Nunakura Futo Damashiki No Mikado. Its personal name, according to the Nihon Shoki , was Nunakura Futo Damashiki.
Bidatsu was the second wire of the emperor Kimmei by his consort Ishi-hime (Iwahime), girl of the emperor Senka.
Empresses and consorts
The Bidatsu emperor had six wire and ten girls, with four wives:- Princess Hiro Hime, girl of the Prince Mate No Okinaga; empress in 572; died in 575; it had:
- Princess Sakanobori
- Princess Uji No Shitsukahi
- Prince Oshisako No Hikohito No Oe, born towards 556, married with the princess Ohomata (Ohotomo), her aunt, girl of the Kimmei emperor and Soga No Kitashi-Hime, of which it had a son and a girl; with the princess Nukate-Hime (his/her half-sister), of which it had three wire; and with the princess Woharida (his/her half-sister), of which it had a son and a girl:
- first wire: Prince Chinu, born towards 575 married with the Kibitsu-Hime princess, of which it had two children: the princess Takara (future empress Ko¯gyoku), born 594, and prince Karu (future emperor Ko¯toku)
- first girl: Princess Kuhada
- second wire: prince Tamura (emperor Jomei), born 593
- third wire: Prince Nakatsu
- fourth wire: Prince Tara
- fifth wire: Prince Yamashiro
- second girl: Princess Kasanuhi

Nukatabe Princess, born in 553, girl of the emperor Kimmei by Soga No Kitashi hime, consort imperial; empress in 576, (empress SUIKO) died in 628; it had seven children:
- Princess Uji No Shitsukahi (Uji No Kahitako, born in 570, married with the prince Sho¯toku, wire of the emperor Yo¯mei and the empress Anahobe

- Woharida Princess, born in 572, married to his/her half-brother Oshizaka No Hikohito No Oe

Biography
It is indicated crown prince by his Kimmei father, and goes up on the throne a few days after the death of this one. Its reign sees following one another two empresses. The first, Hirohime, die in the fifth year of its reign. To replace it, it raises with the row of empress one of her concubines, the Nukatabe princess. This one is his/her half-sister by their Kimmei father. She will become later the first empress reigning under the name of Suiko.
With its advent with the throne, it named Mononobe Yuge No Moriya No Muraji, wire of Mononobe No Ogosi, regent of the empire, and Soga No Moumako, wire of Soga-No Inamé, Prime Minister.
Soon after, the emperor builds a new palate with Osada No Miya of Iware in the Province of Yamato. One sent Hiaksai and Silla /Sinra several images of Buddha and prayer books to him; but though he liked the Chinese literature, he however did not support the doctrines of Siaka. Its nephew Moumaya C-No OSI and the Prime Minister, Soga No Moumako, was very attached to this religion. At that time, the plague reappeared. L Morigay, regent of the empire, having learned that Moumako followed the religion of Buddha, represented with the emperor who had to be rejected these doctrines. This prince there having agreed, Moriya went to the temple, destroying it.
Bidatsu reigns during one period of sharp tension between the clans Soga and Mononobe about the acceptance of the Bouddhisme in Japan.
On the level of the foreign affairs, it tries to réétablir the Japanese influence in Korea, without much success. According to the Nihon Shoki , its court establishes relations with the Korean kingdoms of Paekche and Silla.
Although it had many children, none them became emperor: to its continuation will go up on the throne two of his/her brothers, Yo¯mei and Sushun, then its wife and Suiko half-sister, then her grandson Jomei.
One then accepted country of Ko¯kuli (towards Mandchourie) a written letter on feathers of corbel; nobody could read it. O¯-chin-nor held it on the vapor of cooked rice, this qu moistened the feathers, so that the letters appeared; it then pressed it on a silk part, and by this means one managed to read it.
