Bid and ask
The bid and the ask (or offer or offers) are the terms employed on the markets to indicate the price to which the speakers sell or buy credits, in particular currencies.
For example, when you go in an exchange office to change Euro S into US dollars, this one shows two prices: that to which it is ready to buy your euros (its bid ) and that to which it wishes to sell euros (its ask ).
The difference between these two prices is commonly called bid-offer spread . The quality of this one, i.e. its smallness, is an index of the liquidity market concerned.
The Market maker S test empocher this variation.
