Biancavilla

Biancavilla is a common Italian of the Province of Catane in the area Sicily in Italy.

History

The commune shelters a community Arbëresh, Albanian installed here at the 15th century, fleeing the Othoman advance . These Albanians kept a strong identity, always speaking their language, the Arbërisht.
