Białogarda

Białogarda (in Cachoube Biélogarda , in German Belgard year der Leba , Kreis Lauenburg ) is a village cachoube of Poland, located in the voïvodie of Poméranie (Powiat of Lębork, Gmina of Wicko). The village counts 223 inhabitants (2006).

Of 1975 with 1998, Białogarda was in the Voïvodie of Słupsk.

Geographical location

The geographical Coordonnées of Białogarda are 54° 39 ' 08" NR 17° 39 ' 12" E. the village is on the river Łeba, near the regional road 214 connecting the town of Łeba to Warlubie.

History

Old woman Fortified town Slavic of Poméranie, Białogarda becomes the capital of the duke Racibor of 1233 with 1262. In 1238, thestrong one is set fire to by Świętopełk II of Poméranie.

After the conquest of the Eastern Poméranie by the teutonic Order in 1309, Białogarda loses any importance.
