Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

Rajneesh Chandra Mohan Jain (रजनीशचन्द्रमोहनजैन) (December 11th, 1931 - January 19th, 1990), more known in the years 1960 under the name of Acharya Rajneesh , then in the years 1970 and 80 pennies that of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh then taking finally the name of Osho , is a Indian Gourou. It lived in India and in other countries of which mainly the United States. It inspired the spiritual and philosophical movement discussed Osho. He is the creator of the " meditation dynamique".

Biography

Born in 1931 in Jabalpur in India in a family Jaïna, Rajneesh Chandra Mohan, called “Bhagwan”, devotes its life to the meditation and sign this one with many disciples. In the years 1970, it accommodates thousands of Westerners in his ashram of Poona (Pune) in India and develops a variety of meditations moving, dynamic, cathartic to release the body and the spirit, inspired by especially tantric traditions and which will be also introduced in particular everywhere or were constituted of the centers or the " universités" Osho, in very many countries.

Rajneesh Chandra Mohan gives speeches each day of 8:00 to 10:00 and darshans of 18:30 to 20:30 with the Ashram de Poona in India. Hundreds of psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors of the whole world came there to be initiated with these practices. All the speeches of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh are recorded and certain comment on the Crowned Writings, the old texts of many spiritual traditions (Zen, Soufisme, Tantra, Bouddhisme, Christianisme, Taoïsme, the Upanishads, Patanjali, Héraclite, etc). Bhagwan speaks also readily about famous characters like Freud, Jung, Adler, Maslow, Fritz Perls, Einstein, Marx, Stalin, Hitler, Bouddha, Jesus, Socrate, Soufis, Naksbandis, Mulla Nasrudin, Indira Gandhi, Watts, Sozen, Lao Tseu etc

These speeches were recorded on audio, video cassettes and were retranscribed in the form of books.

A work made up of two speeches of 1986 on the Universal declaration of the human rights was dedicated to Mikhail Gorbatchev and Andrei Sakharov.

Readily provocative, even mischievous, it had during a few years a collection of Rolls Royce.

According to Margo Anand (the Way of Extase, Albin Michel, p.55) " the life of Bhagwan to the ashram of Poona is apparently very simple: one can see it 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. the morning (speech) and of 18:30 to 20:30 the evening (darshan). It passes the remainder of time at his place, only in its room. How under these conditions manages it to follow the evolution of one hundred thousand disciples throughout the world, namely all that occurs not only to the ashram but to deepest from each one, remains, for any spirit set on rational explanations, a mystery. "

It is deceased in India in 1990 after having resided a few years in its ashram at the USA. It was stopped in 1985, whereas it tried to leave North Carolina for Bermuda in possession of 55.000 dollars, a gun and jewels of a full value of several million dollars.

There exists about thirty books of Osho translated into French language on the 600 works published in English. Osho is also the inspirer of musics created by musicians having remained in his ashram, of two sets of Tarots (Tarot Zen and Osho Tarot) etc

In France, the Osho movement is quoted (like many spiritual groups existing at the time) in the parliamentary report, said " Vivien" report/ratio; , written in 1995 by the board of inquiry into the Sects.
